Thank you for contacting us. There are a few things you should know...
To set an appointment with our office, you must both (a) set the appointment by calling our office at (540) 929-1330 or through our website, and (b) pay the non-refundable $25.00 consultation fee.
If you have provided a valid email address, you will receive both a confirmation email from our office and an emailed receipt confirming your payment. You may also opt to have a text message reminder sent to the phone number you have provided.
Setting up an appointment with our office and/or paying the consultation fee does not mean you are our client, and it does not mean we are your attorneys. Likewise, submitting the pre-appointment form does not make you our client, and it does not make us your attorneys.
Having a consultation with our office does not require the attorney to offer to represent you. The attorney may offer to represent you, but is not required to do so. Each case is different and may require different actions be taken. The attorney may also set specific financial terms for the representation, or limit the services he is willing to offer.
We will take no action on your behalf until and unless you have signed a written retainer agreement and paid an advance deposit as requested by the attorney. The consultation fee is not the advance deposit, and the pre-appointment form is not the retainer agreement.
The $25.00 consultation fee is non-refundable. Once you set an appointment with our office and pay the consultation fee, that appointment time is secured for your consultation and is removed from availability for others who may need a consultation. Your cancellation of your appointment will not result in a refund of the cancellation fee. The only way that the fee will be refunded is if the attorney cancels your scheduled appointment, which is rare.
During the appointment scheduling process, please be sure to provide an accurate telephone number for the attorney to call at the scheduled appointment time. The attorney may contact you for your scheduled appointment from a telephone number other than the firm's office number. If you do not answer, the attorney will attempt to leave a voicemail message with a callback number. If the attorney is unable to leave a voicemail message at the telephone number provided, you may call the office number at (540) 929-1330 and leave a message asking for the attorney to contact you.
